Not much needs to be said about this "living legend" in the Berkshire breed. Sired 9 State Fair Champion or Reserve Champion Berkshire Barrows in his 2011 crop including the Champion Berk barrow at Wisconsin that Warren Beeler said was the best he had seen! Torge’s track record of winning shows is unrivaled and we are thrilled to have him here at PBG. We loved him and his littermate sister at NBS and were not surprised that he accomplished what he did in his first full season.

When we picked him up from Bryce, it was even more obvious to us why he has been so successful. He is massive boned, extremely sound, and very tall at the point of his shoulder. We think this guy can continue his dominance in siring better Berkshires for many years to come! The buyers list of Torge semen is a who’s who of the Berkshire breed as they recognize the very unique things Torge offers.

We think Torge offers another very good option on Superman daughters. Shelbi Gordon exhibited an OYE Class-winning gilt bred by the Gordon’s with Superman on a Torge daughter and confirmed what we thought that mating could produce.

Torge sired the Jervis Family’s $4750 Champion & Top Selling Gilt @ the 2013 WPX Opens Show bred by Kent Brattain & Family. He also produced the 2013 IJSC Champion Berk & 2nd Overall Points barrow—Shown by Jester & bred by Larry White / Nathan Day. If you need to put a correct hip and hind leg and an up-headed but and moderate package—we believe Torge has done that as well as any in our opinion.
