Rusty Gold was the Hereford boar Doug told us last summer was the best he ever bred. Everything that could go wrong went wrong with Rusty. Collected WAY young and ranted out to nothing right before the open house.
He found a ride on some really good females but it was late in the season and we just didn’t want to carry him all thru the summer as spring/summer are not large Hereford seasons. BUT then Rusty goes to the National Hereford Show this Fall & with 6 gilts shown & wins 4 classes with 1 gilt 2nd to another Rusty, & the other 3rd. Grabs Champion & $2100 co-top selling gilt for the Geer Family & Champion Gilt in the Junior Show.
