COME ON DOWN!! This exciting young boar we bought from Brockman Farms in their Spring Farm Live Sale is a full sib to Next Contestant!! COME ON DOWN’S mother is a littermate to the 2019 State Fair Of Texas Reserve Grand Gilt as well as Maya McCoy’s 2019 Ohio State Fair Division Champion Barrow! Next Contestant has been overwhelmingly popular amongst visitors and those who already have litters on the ground out of him!
When we saw this young pig who was a full sib to Next Contestant in April in the Brockman Farms show barn and after seeing Next Contestant for the first time there we were immediately very interested. When they told us they were selling him in their upcoming live farm sale, we knew he was one we had to own as well!
As an added bonus to all of his phenotypic and genetic quality, he is marked like a Berkshire for those who like to get creative making “berk appearing†hogs in the southwest arenas! Obviously with a pedigree reading Next Intention x Cruel Intention, it immediately grabs your attention, then after seeing his mature full sib, Next Contestant, it gets even better!! Then you study COME ON DOWN as an individual and it seals the deal-this is one exciting young crossbred boar that we have VERY high hopes for!
COME ON DOWN is a stout made, muscular boar, that is loaded with power. From a design standpoint, he is incredible in the look he offers from his blade forward and the proportions he offers in terms of his length of body and frame size match and fit the width and dimension he brings to the table. As you analyze the top side of his skeleton, he is very shapely in his muscle and spread with a sharp edge and crisp turn up high. He stands on real big legs, great feet, and even toes. With all these extremes he offers, COME ON DOWN is still very square, balanced, and correct.
This is a big time boar that reads like one that has limitless potential to make barrows and gilts that win in the big ring!! COME ON DOWN!!
