SHADES is our off the farm purchase from Brattain that we are absolutely pumped about!! We had been hearing about SHADES from lots of people very early on this summer. Both Kent and Kalen indicated they thought SHADES might be the best Duroc boar they had ever produced. Coming from a firm as prestigious as the Brattain's, that certainly grabs your attention!! When we made the trip over to see him, it was a very quick and easy decision that he was one we needed to own.

SHADES is a Duroc boar that is so stout and bold, yet still reads with an attractive look through his front end. He comes at you like a beast, bold and opened-up with tremendous width of skeleton. As you get into the middle portion of his body cavity, he is very impressive in the turn to his upper rib and depth of body he displays. As he tracks away, he gives a great view planting a monster rear leg that is still very loose and comfortable.

Without question, SHADES has been one of the most popular boars of any breed with visitors on tours this summer.

SHADES is getting a great shot this fall and we can’t wait until next summer.
