Deep End is our big time purchase from Wintex Farms at Springfield. The Berkshire boar show at Springfield was so deep in quality with elite breeding pieces found throughout. After purchasing Shattered, we immediately turned our attention to the Wintex entry that was sired by Off The Ledge on the Rash gilt that is a littermate to Whatever It Takes. That gilt dominated the summer shows in 2016, being named Grand Overall Gilt at both 2016 WPX and Team Purebred Jr National in Springfield! Deep End has some pieces that offer as much breed improvement and advancement as any Berkshire boar we have seen in recent times.
Deep End is freakish in his overall skeletal flexibility and looseness of structure. The set and flex to his hock is as impressive for this breed as any we have ever seen. He is still very stout in his skull and bold through the center portion of his body with great shape and expression up high! He offers extreme look and presence with a stout skull and jaw. He is opened up with tremendous squareness coming and going, we think Deep End is the type of boar that can hit a grand slam and win the big banner at the biggest shows!
Deep End has certainly delivered as we thought he would in making Berkshires with a very exotic look but still having tons of mass & shape.
