Kiss My Hocks x Gone Viral x Swagger x Black Attack

Bred by Heimer Hampshires

Stress: NEG    EN: 15-1    Reg#:

PBG is very proud to announce our purchase of DISTINCT(aka 15-1) who is a Kiss My Hocks x 85-12 (Gone Viral x Swagger x Black Attack) stress carrier son from Heimer Hampshires . When the crew went to HH to purchase our new Berkshire boars Monopoly & Rebel, they had the opportunity to see "15-1". Their immediate feedback to me was that we REALLY needed to buy him. Jesse's response to inquiries about purchasing 15-1 was that he had no plans to sell him. Two more trips to the HH ranch, more negotiations than I have had for all our other boar purchases combined, and $250,000 (for 3/4 interest) and we feel we have added 3 TREMENDOUS new sires.

If you want to see passion from Jesse Heimer, ask him about DISTINCT - so we felt the best person to describe him was the man that bred him. Here is what he had to say:

“The untimely death of Kiss My Hocks last summer left us anxious for a son to continue what he had started. Within a couple weeks of the loss, 15-1 was born and our fear quickly changed to hope. By the time he reached the show barn, 15-1 had separated himself from the pack and it was very obvious he was in a different league. Individuals that stand out always seem easier to accept when they have sow power behind them to prove it and there's no doubt, 15-1 has plenty of sow power in his pedigree. His dam is one of four 85 litter sows at HH. She was always the most visually impressive of the 85's and was shown successfully by the Norris family in Texas. Another of the 85 littermates to 15-1's dam produced the Grand Overall Barrow at 2015 San Antonio for Wintex. The dam of the 85's is 3-6, the first crop Swagger sow that produced the Grand Barrow at 2014 Rodeo Austin and now works in the Ottenwalter herd after selling for $20,000 as Lot 1 in the 2015 'Ones that Built the Brand' Sow Sale. 15-1’s Granddam is the 53-11 Black Attack sow, one of the pillars of the entire HH crossbred program. That doesn't even touch all the elite sows in Kiss My Hock's pedigree.

Many who haven't seen him have asked 'what's he like?' and our most accurate description is this; he's the 2016 version of Swagger. We've used Swagger as much as anyone in the past 4+ years and for all the Champion barrows he sired, we never really made a boar that resembled Swagger until this one came along. Suggesting that 15-1 looks like Swagger is an awfully big statement but we honestly think he's progressively better in many areas than Swagger. He's bigger ribbed, deeper flanked, bigger legged, heavier boned and still incredibly square at the ground. What makes 15-1 truly unique is his extreme flexibility and the ability to reach and grab another gear. It took some time but this one was worth the wait.”

Without question the biggest sort on Crossbred showpigs is hind leg structure and DISTINCT has the best rear leg design and flexibility we have ever seen. If he can’t fix them, we will be very surprised. District’s first babies have hit the ground and they are very impressive!!!
